Egyptian Gods and Goddesses

Year 6 were researching ancient Egyptians, Gods and Goddesses today through playing a range of different games. Ask them about what they have learned.

Year 6's DT Lesson

Year 6 worked very hard to develop their DT skills during their DT day at the beginning of term. Their task was to design and build a bridge which would support a toy train and hold the maximum weight. They all did very well and worked well in their groups.

Harvest 2018

We held our annual harvest celebration today, led by our year 6 children. A huge thank you to everyone who sent in donations. These will be forwarded to The Good Shepherd Ministry, who will use them to help those in need.

Year 6 Science

We observed the effect of refraction today, when light travels through different mediums such as water and glass.

Our McMillan Coffee Afternoon

On Friday 28th September we held a McMillan Coffee Afternoon which was attended by several of our parents/carers. We had a lovely time and overall on the day we raised £152.20. Well done!!

Year 6 - Open Door Project

Year 6 enjoyed taking part in the Open Door project this term at St Peters Church. They each participated in a range of different craft activities and enjoyed a guided tour of the church.

Year 2 - Florence Nightingale

In Year 2 we have been learning about Florence Nightingale. On Monday 1st October we had a visit from 'Florence' to help the children understand the past.

Whole School - Penn Puppets

On Thursday 20th September, Penn Puppets came to perform 'An American Earthquake' to all the children. It was a story about the effects an earthquake has on small communities and how they resolve problems together.

Year 1 - RE Lessons

The children in Year 1 were asked what they would like to know about in RE. They were also introduced to Abbey Owl who is our class mascot for RE.

Foundation Stage - Self Portraits

Foundation have been settling in to school life and getting to know each other. As part of this we have studied our features in a mirror and created self portraits.

Year 4 - Practical Challenges

Year 4 worked as teams to complete practical and challenging tasks. They applied and used all their skills that they learnt from their visit last year.

Foundation Stage - Funny Bones

Foundation have read the Funny Bones story and have been learning about the body. We labelled the parts of a body that we knew.

Year 5 - PE Lessons

During PE Year 5 have been developing their football skills. They have had a great time and it was made even better by the autumn sunshine.

Year 5 Ancient Egypt

Year 5 started off their topic on Ancient Egypt by thinking about who was the most important person in Egyptian society. They shared and discussed their ideas, putting the Pharaoh at the top, the slaves at the bottom.
